Why our family built this

Why our family built this

I'm O'Shane. I build Letusallcelebrate from Toronto with my wife Annmarie and our three kids running around the house.

This started the way most things worth doing start — with a feeling I couldn't shake.

I wanted a way to hold onto the moments that matter. Not just the photos, but the feeling underneath them. The way the kitchen smelled when Annmarie's mom baked. The sound of the kids laughing in the yard on a summer evening. The quiet pride of a day that went right and nobody was there to write it down.

Photo albums capture what something looked like. They don't always capture what it felt like.

The gap

We take more photos than any generation in history, and we look at them less. They sit in a phone, in a cloud, behind a password nobody remembers. The stories behind them — the ones you'd tell if someone asked "what was that day like?" — those fade even faster.

I wanted something that could hold both: the image and the feeling. The moment and the meaning.

So I started building.

What it became

Letusallcelebrate is a place to write down a memory — or speak it — and have it shaped into something you'll actually want to come back to. Each memory becomes a keepsake. You can revisit it, share it with the people who were part of it, or seal it until a future date and let the anticipation build.

Along the way, it grew. Celebration Envelopes let you send a warm message for a birthday or an anniversary — the morning I realized I'd forgotten to call my mom on her birthday, I built that. Family Capsules let the whole family add to one shared memory book — we started one for each of our kids the year they were born. The Keepsake Print Builder turns memories into a printed photo book you can hold, because there's something about a book on a shelf that a phone screen can't replace.

Why we're sharing it

This isn't a company with a big team. It's our family. Annmarie and I run it together, and our three kids are our unofficial testers and our biggest inspiration.

We built it out of love for the world — genuinely. We believe that if more people held onto their happy memories, and shared them with the people they love, there'd be a little more togetherness and a little more peace in the world.

That's the whole reason this exists. Not to be the biggest app, or the most downloaded. Just to help people hold onto what matters — and maybe put a smile on a stranger's face somewhere in the world.

If that sounds like something your family would enjoy, welcome. We hope it means something to you too.
